Kentucky Denies Medicaid LTC Benefits
8/21/03 - Kentucky joins the list of states having to deny Medicaid LTC benefits due to budget shortfalls. Through July, Kentucky has denied Medicaid benefits to 198 nursing home residents and more than 1,200 recipients of other long-term care services. The cuts are the result of a decision by state officials earlier this year to eliminate certain benefits under the program in an attempt to offset a budget shortfall.
